In 1999, the lease at the 1701 West 10th Street address expired; the complex owner was expanding. Because of the facility expansion, 10th Street would be locked into a corner bay, losing all parking privileges next to the building. The Cox's decided to purchase a building at 3223 S 38th Street, Phoenix, Arizona. The decision was made to keep the well known "10th Street" name, rather than renaming the business to fit a new street address. From July 1999 until mid November 1999, the Phoenix shop was renovated. The building was painted inside and out, re-roofed, new coolers were added, a front office was built and a mixing room and spray booth set up. The entire parking area was concreted and an 8 foot tall perimeter wall was laid. As security is always one of 10th Street's highest priorities, barbed razor wire was added to the top of the perimeter wall with monitored security. Upon receiveing all licensing, appropriate inspections and fulfilling city requirments, 10th Street was again open for business at the new Phoenix location.
