Darryl Zifka's 1931 Model A UPS Truck
This is Darryls UPS truck. It is an original truck from the UPS fleet purchased and used in 1931. The front end and the chassis are used from a black 1931 Model A Cabriolet. The chassis was sent to a coachbuilder who added the wood C cab body. It was then skinned with aluminum and steel, and painted UPS brown.

The coachbuilder used 1928-29 rear fenders that were also painted black. When Darryl bought the project it was very weathered. 10th street restored the cowl and front sheet metal and installed it on the restored chassis that Darryl had done. Then the assembly went to a cabinetmaker that copied the deteriorated wood box and made an all-new white oak one.

Now the body is in the process of getting the interior sheet aluminum work done. Then the outer work will follow. Don Stevens has recently got the chassis assembly wired, running, and driving.
